Wifi

The Wifi password is the network name, easy no.

Arrival and departure times

  • Arrival: from 5 p.m.
  • Departure: before 11 a.m.

We offer a personalized welcome upon your arrival, and are happy to be present if you would like us to be there.

But for more flexibility, a secure key box is also available: it allows you to arrive at a time that suits you, with complete autonomy.

If you need to adjust your schedule, we remain flexible as much as possible, depending on the preparation of the cottage for the next guests and the departure of the previous ones. Please do not hesitate to contact us in advance.

Parking

A private parking space is reserved for you right in front of the cottage's door. It is indicated by a sign and markers on the ground, so you can park easily upon arrival.

You can leave your vehicle there with complete peace of mind for the duration of your stay.

Heating

🌡️Electric heaters

Each room features modern electric radiators, programmed to maintain a comfortable temperature throughout the day and night. The system is managed via a smart solution (Voltalis), combining thermal comfort with energy savings.

You can adjust the temperature manually according to your needs, but be careful not to modify certain advanced settings which can cause malfunctions:

  • Do not change the calibration settings: this can distort temperature detection and prevent the radiators from heating properly.
  • Leave window opening detection disabled to avoid the heating turning off unexpectedly.
  • If a radiator is locked (padlock icon), simply press the "+" and "–" buttons at the same time for 5 seconds to unlock it.

We regularly check the settings to ensure proper use, but please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

🔥 The wood insert

Starting April 25, 2025, the wood-burning fireplace is once again available to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the living room. If possible, we will prepare a fire for your arrival, as we did before.

You will find:

  • Firelighters available in the cottage,
  • Firewood in the woodshed, located in the building opposite the gîte's parking space.
🔧 How to light the fire:
  1. Open the insert door.
  2. Place one or two firelighters, add kindling, then a few logs on top.
  3. Light the firelighters.
  4. Leave the top draught (knob in the center at the top of the door) wide open to help the fire catch well.
  5. Once the fire is started, turn the dial in the center at the top of the door to slightly reduce the draft and prevent it from burning too quickly.
  6. The lower draft (in the center of the insert) must not be completely closed: a minimum of air is necessary for good combustion.

​⚠️ Ne le réduisez pas trop non plus, au risque d'étouffer la flamme, ce qui provoquerait de la fumée et encrasserait prématurément l’insert. 


The garbage cans

Household waste goes into the kitchen garbage can.

Packaging, cans, plastics and cardboard in the bin below the sink (yellow garbage can).

Containers are placed in front of the house (except Mondays, which are collection days)..

Glass containers are available in the commune of Mellé. Alternatively, you can leave your glass waste in the gîte when you leave, and we'll take care of it for you..

Wc

The building is equipped with a septic tank, so please do not dispose of anything in the toilet (sanitary pads, bleach, etc.)..
