Before welcoming its first travellers, Aux prés des fées went through long months of renovation work. On the same land as Au Lutin Pommé, at La Martais (Mellé), an old granite outbuilding awaited a second life. Here is the renovation, in photos.
The renovation in photos

The result
On the ground floor, a bright living room with a fitted kitchen, a round table for four, and in an alcove that closes with curtains, a sofa bed that converts into a double bed of 160 × 200 cm. Upstairs, the bedroom with two single beds, which can be pushed together or separated, a wardrobe, and the bathroom with a bath-shower.
For the decoration, we followed the name of the gîte: white, wood, and sage green tones, frames of ferns and mushrooms, as a nod to the meadows and fairies that surround La Martais.
And now?
Our first guests have already stayed, and their kind reviews warm our hearts. Aux prés des fées accommodates 2 people, up to 4 with the sofa bed, bed linen and towels included. The gîte is 35 minutes from Mont-Saint-Michel and about twenty minutes from Fougères, with a hiking trail starting from the door.
